From Slovakia to Latvia: 20 Gastro-Haal Professional Kitchen Apliances for a New Market

One initial enquiry, a face-to-face meeting in Latvia and the first order. Approximately one year later, another 20 professional kitchen appliances made in Slovakia are heading to Latvia.

This shipment of Gastro-Haal boiling pans, bratt pans, electric stoves and potato peelers is destined for Latvian public institutions.

Latvia is a new market for Gastro-Haal, and our cooperation with local partner SIA ProfRostuls has gradually developed into an exclusive Gastro-Haal partnership for the Baltic markets.

Our Latvian business partner, SIA ProfRostuls, first contacted us in 2025.

Rather than keeping the entire discussion to emails and phone calls, our export team travelled directly to Latvia to meet the partner in person.

Together, we discussed the opportunities for cooperation, the needs of the local market and the Gastro-Haal product portfolio. Shortly after the visit, the first order for 15 professional kitchen appliances followed.

“Communication, competitive pricing and product availability played an important role. But above all, we listened to our partner’s feedback. Whenever they needed something, we focused on finding a solution,” explains our Export Manager.

Since then, regular personal visits, together with professional sales and service training, have become an important part of our partnership.

20 professional kitchen appliances manuifactured in 4 weeks

The current order includes 20 professional electric kitchen appliances:

• electric boiling pans with pressure spray guns,

• 120-litre bratt pans,

• 6-plate electric stoves,

• potato peelers.

→ The equipment will be installed in several Latvian public institutions. One school, for example, will receive four Gastro-Haal boiling pans and a 6-plate electric stove.

→ Production of the order took approximately four weeks.

The logistics also required careful planning due to the size and volume of the equipment, so the delivery was divided into two shipments.

→ The first 10 appliances were available from stock and could therefore be dispatched to Latvia immediately. The remaining equipment will follow in the next shipment.

Today, Gastro-Haal exports professional cooking equipment to approximately 20 countries.

Most recently, we have expanded our export activities into the Baltic region – Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

And the cooperation continues.

Our Latvian partner holds exclusive representation of Gastro-Haal in the Baltic markets. Another personal visit to Latvia is already being prepared, while new business opportunities and orders continue to develop.
